Profession

From 2002 to 2004 I spent two years working as a lawyer with the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer at the Düsseldorf office. During that time my main practice was advising national and international clients in the areas of corporate law (M&A), insolvency law (restructuring) as well as organizing the firms knowledge management in these particular fields.

After that I joined the Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin where I started as executive assistant (Referent). Among other things I was working in the field of prevention of corruption. Among this responsibilities he was representing Germany in the Group of States against corruption (GRECO) at the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, in the Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions, OECD, Paris, and the Anti-Corruption Working Group of the G20 states. I organised the Phase-3-evaluation of Germany by the OECD Working Group on Bribery in fall 2010, and July 2011 I was an examiner of Italy in the OECD evaluation.
I was head of the German delegation in negotiations of a Treaty on the transfer and holding of intermediated securities.

2008/2009 I had the opportunity to work as legal expert for the judiciary committee of the House of Representatives as a scollar of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
Since 2014 I am head of the Unit dealing with international criminal law, courts constitution, victims rights and data protection im criminal procedure.
